The Vachtstudio (€50) gives you up to four images — for instance two colours and two sizes — within two working days. If you choose a Monroe, the €50 is refunded in full as a voucher.
- Order the Vachtstudio. You receive a confirmation with your order number straight away.
- Send a photo of your room via WhatsApp or e-mail (info@monroe.life), with your order number and the colours and sizes you have in mind.
- Within two working days you receive the images, together with your €50 voucher.
Voucher valid for three months, one per address, not combinable. By ordering you request immediate performance; once the images are delivered, the right of withdrawal lapses. The images are made with AI: colour and size are indicative. More explanation and examples on the Vachtstudio page.
Which size suits your room?
A rug always looks smaller on the floor than in your head. When in doubt, go one size up rather than down: a Monroe should carry the seating area, not float between the furniture. These are the rules of thumb we use in the store.

By the sofa
Let the rug extend at least 30 cm beyond the sofa on both sides and place the front legs of sofa and armchairs on it. That turns the pieces into one seating area instead of a loose island.
Corner sofa
A corner sofa calls for the large size: 300 × 400 (or 305 × 405). The rug runs under both sections and stays generously visible on the open side.
In the bedroom
Slide the rug under the lower two thirds of the bed, with 60 cm on either side and at the foot. For a 160 cm bed that is 225 × 285. Only want a soft landing when you get up? Then 125 × 185 beside the bed is enough.
Under the dining table
Allow 65 to 70 cm around the table so the chairs stay on the rug even when pushed back. A 100 × 200 table needs 230 × 290; with chairs at the head of the table or for eight people, choose 300 × 400.
How to measure
- Measure the zone the rug should cover: the seating group, the bed, or the table with its chairs.
- Add 30 cm per side (65 cm for a dining table).
- Keep at least 30 cm of bare floor to the walls; a rug should not touch the skirting.
- Tape the outline on the floor with masking tape and live with it for a day. Still unsure? Send us a photo of the room and we will draw the size in.
Another size?
Every Monroe is handmade, so it can be made to your size too: narrower, rounded, around a fireplace. Send us the dimensions and you will receive a no-obligation proposal within the day; delivery in two to four weeks.
