Coloured Icelandic Sheepskin Patchwork Rug

A colorful patchwork rug sets the tone of a room like no other element can — warm, full of character, and immediately mood-setting. For those who dare to choose color.
Our colored rugs are specially made for you in our workshop. Experienced seamstresses combine the dyed Icelandic fleeces into a patchwork with depth and variation — two rugs are never exactly the same, and that's precisely their charm.
Available in camel brown and olive. Both colors are carefully selected to perfectly match both classic and modern interiors — warm without being overpowering.

Available sizes
The colored variants are exceptionally beautiful, but because they are dyed, they can fade with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Do you have a sunny room?
These rugs are made to order. Once ordered, your right of withdrawal expires and exchange is not possible — each rug is specifically manufactured in your chosen color and size. You are, of course, entitled to a sound product: should the rug not match your order, we will make a new one. Please notify us immediately upon receipt and ensure the rug remains clean and undamaged.
An accident? Just come to the store — we'll repair it on site. That's our promise, for over ten years now.
Which size suits your room?
A rug always looks smaller on the floor than in your head. When in doubt, go one size up rather than down: a Monroe should carry the seating area, not float between the furniture. These are the rules of thumb we use in the store.
Quick guide
| 125 × 185 | beside the bed, in front of an armchair, in the hallway |
| 165 × 225 | two-seater or coffee table; front legs of the sofa on the rug |
| 205 × 205 | square seating area or under a round table (white and off-white) |
| 225 × 285 / 230 × 290 | three-seater with coffee table; dining table for six |
| 300 × 400 / 305 × 405 | corner sofa or the whole seating area; dining table for eight |
| 305 × 305 | large square seating area (white and off-white) |
By the sofa
Let the rug extend at least 30 cm beyond the sofa on both sides and place the front legs of sofa and armchairs on it. That turns the pieces into one seating area instead of a loose island.
Corner sofa
A corner sofa calls for the large size: 300 × 400 (or 305 × 405). The rug runs under both sections and stays generously visible on the open side.
In the bedroom
Slide the rug under the lower two thirds of the bed, with 60 cm on either side and at the foot. For a 160 cm bed that is 225 × 285. Only want a soft landing when you get up? Then 125 × 185 beside the bed is enough.
Under the dining table
Allow 65 to 70 cm around the table so the chairs stay on the rug even when pushed back. A 100 × 200 table needs 230 × 290; with chairs at the head of the table or for eight people, choose 300 × 400.
How to measure
- Measure the zone the rug should cover: the seating group, the bed, or the table with its chairs.
- Add 30 cm per side (65 cm for a dining table).
- Keep at least 30 cm of bare floor to the walls; a rug should not touch the skirting.
- Tape the outline on the floor with masking tape and live with it for a day. Still unsure? Send us a photo of the room and we will draw the size in.
Another size?
Every Monroe is handmade, so it can be made to your size too: narrower, rounded, around a fireplace. Send us the dimensions and you will receive a no-obligation proposal within the day; delivery in two to four weeks.
Send your measurements via WhatsAppAll dimensions are in centimetres. A Monroe is assembled by hand from natural pelts; small deviations of a few centimetres are part of the craft.
